About Me

Hi there! I’m Sami—a Christ follower, wife, mother, Rotarian, 4-H Agent, early morning meeting survivor, and the voice behind The Rotary Chronicles.

A couple of years ago, I transitioned from teaching to working as a 4-H agent in Sevier County, Tennessee—my hometown and the place that shaped who I am. It was my 4-H job that brought me into Rotary International and eventually to creating this blog, by signing me up for a Sevierville Sunrise Rotary membership. A few months into my Rotary membership, I was accidentally elected Vice President (true story). As VP, I attended MidSouth PETS (President Elect Training Seminar), and it was a turning point for me. I saw Rotary in a whole new light, but more on that in my first Post!

That’s why I started this blog.

The Rotary Chronicles is where I share the honest, behind-the-scenes moments of my journey in Rotary—from hesitant beginnings to energized leadership. Whether you’re already a member, new to your club, or just curious about what Rotary can offer, I hope you’ll find encouragement, ideas, and maybe a few laughs here.

Thanks for stopping by!
Let’s grow together—one early morning meeting at a time.
